SUSTAINABILITY
Our path, our commitment
Sustainability is the path we have chosen for offering experiences that respect the environment, culture and life. Our vision is to be pioneers in top notch, sustainable tourist recreation, a challenge that commits us to guaranteeing the future and wellbeing of our communities, as well as conserving this paradise where we find ourselves.
La Casa de la Playa and its totally sustainable design comes from the vision of architect David Quintana, which guarantees sincere respect for nature, based on Grupo Xcaret’s Sustainability Model. His eco-integrating architecture embraces nature, achieving a unique balance between beauty and ethics.
Jellyfish Habitat
La Casa de la Playa is home for the Aurelia aurita jellyfish, also known as moon jellyfish or saucer jelly. In each of our suites, there is a habitat for this fascinating species that captivates with its silhouette and will enchant you with the subtlety of its movements.
Our 66 habitats are much more than a suite amenity as part of a fully sustainable Breeding Program by Grupo Xcaret. Due to the research and commitment of our staff, a team of experts taking care of this species, who recreate the perfect environment for its reproduction cycle, covering all their needs.
