Lumbre & Centli

Two restaurants. Two perspectives on Mexican cuisine.

Brothers Rodrigo, Patricio and Daniel Rivera Río present two distinct expressions of Mexico, each exploring the depth and diversity of its culinary heritage.
Lumbre draws inspiration from the flavors, ingredients and techniques of northern Mexico, while Centli turns its gaze south, placing corn—one of the foundations of Mexican cuisine—at the heart of the experience.
On different days of the week, the same table becomes the setting for two distinct ways to discover the richness of Mexican cuisine.

Lumbre – Cuisine of Northern Mexico

Fire, embers and smoke define a culinary journey through the ingredients and flavors of northern Mexico.

From the Huasteca region to Sonora, Lumbre brings together influences from across the north, while drawing from the abundance of its coastlines. The result is a contemporary expression of northern Mexican cuisine, with fire as the common thread running through every dish.

Centli - Cuisine of Southern Mexico

Corn is at the heart of an experience inspired by the milpa and the culinary richness of southern Mexico.

Centli draws inspiration from Chiapas, Tabasco, Veracruz and Hidalgo—regions where the land, the coasts and the rhythms of nature have shaped countless expressions of Mexican cuisine. Their ingredients and traditions come together at the table, celebrating corn as both a cornerstone of Mexican cuisine and a connection between the land and its culinary heritage.

Rivera Río Brothers

Rivera Río Brothers

Born in Mexico City and now based in Monterrey, brothers Rodrigo, Patricio and Daniel Rivera Río are shaping contemporary Mexican gastronomy through a shared passion for cuisine.

Influenced by their parents and grandparents, they were introduced to flavors and culinary techniques from an early age, sparking a passion that would ultimately become their profession.

Today, the Rivera Río brothers bring their commitment to Mexican cuisine, local producers and culinary traditions to every dish and experience they create. Each contributes his own expertise: Daniel leads pastry, Rodrigo oversees the savory kitchen, and Patricio brings his knowledge of service and wine. Together, they create collaborative culinary experiences shaped by a shared vision.
